Common Goals, Inc. is an Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab facility, offering clients services which include groups, one on one counseling and housing for those in Recovery. Common Goals has been in business in the Grass Valley area for the past 20 years.  We are looking for someone that is highly motivated to join our fast-paced environment.

Position

 

Recovery Residence Assistant

Hours:  40 hours per week  

Mon – Thurs, 9:30-6:00 pm & Friday, 8:30-5:00 pm

Pay: Minimum starting pay $18 an hour

Qualifications

 

·         If in recovery must have at least 2 years clean time

·         Must be able to pass a drug test

·         Clean driving record

·         Knowledge in Excel, Word and other basic computer skills

·         Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs

 

Job Description

 

The Recovery Residence Assistant will work closely with our House Manager, organizing tasks assigned, with the ability to prioritize and follow through with assigned tasks. Seeking someone with great communication skills, not easily flustered and able to set boundaries with clients and in personal life. The RRA will be responsible for weekly house meetings, grocery shopping and daily PM transportation.  Able to manage Intakes and Exiting of clients, while maintaining the waitlist with minimal empty beds. Will need to seek advice and guidance on decision making and problem solving. Needs to be able to stay levelheaded during high stress situations by keeping respectful communication.

 

Responsibilities

·         Transporting clients (PM transport)

·         House Meetings – Weekly check-ins with all house residents at the houses, chore checks, room checks, walking the property, vehicle verifications.

·         House Intakes – reviewing housing protocols, forms, rules, expectations with clients moving into the houses.  Can include transportation and helping them with personal items when moving in.

·         House Exits – documenting and supervising house exits, packing personal items and moving to storage/ supervising exits when appropriate.  Following through with exit plan documentation.

·         Shopping – grocery shopping/ household goods, furniture, etc.

·         Transitional Plans with Clients – meeting with individuals to track their progress in 6 dimensions of transition planning.

·         Processing Documentation (passes, activity logs, house exits, etc…)

·         Tracking and completing maintenance activities

·         House Screenings and phone calls with prospective clients

·         Scheduling House Intakes: Includes following through to coordinate with counseling staff and admin to make sure SUD screenings are completed and SUD Intakes are scheduled

·         Case Management with Client’s Case Managers

·         Helping clients resolve conflicts within the house

·         House checks for rule compliance/ cleanliness/ maintenance

·         Testing at the houses, when appropriate

·         Creating, delivering and discussing write-ups.

·         Communication with house residents

·         Maintain good communication with RR Manager, house clients and community partners

·         Documenting actions taken, attendance, etc…

·         Inventory of food and cleaning supplies at the houses

·         Checking attendance/ testing/ rule compliance

·         Filing RR documents

·         Checking VM daily for house check ins

·         Any other task assigned
