Common Goals, Inc. is an Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab facility, offering clients services which include groups, one on one counseling and housing for those in Recovery. Common Goals has been in business in the Grass Valley area for the past 20 years.  We are currently hiring for our new Inpatient Facility and are looking for someone that is highly motivated to join our fast-paced environment.

Position: Inpatient SUD Counselor

 

Hours:  40 hours per week  

Schedule: TBD, some weekends required

Pay: Minimum starting pay $24 an hour

Qualifications

 

·         If in recovery must have at least 2 years clean time

·         Must be able to pass a drug test

·         The minimum requirement for this position is 1 year counseling experience or registered internship with a certifying agency

·         Knowledge in Excel, Word, EHR and other basic computer skills

·         Must be compassionate and have good emotional regulation

 

 

Job Description

 

The primary job of our counselors is to assure that all SUD clients receive quality, appropriate and timely care.  Counselors will maintain the highest standards through continuing education and an individualized approach to client’s problems.  Meet or exceed all Drug Medi-Cal Standards, all DHCS standards, and any other standards set down by overseeing entities.

Meeting these responsibilities will be attained by following these core counseling competencies with the high standards expected at Common Goals, Inc. 

Responsibilities

1. Screening/Intake/Orientation/Assessments

2. Assessments/ Treatment Planning/Counseling

3. Case Management/Reporting/Consultation

4. Counselors will maintain the highest standards through continuing education and individualized approach to a client’s problems.  Meet or exceed all Drug Medi-Cal Standards, all DHCS standards, and any other standards set down by overseeing entities.

5.  Counselors will assist in the training of Interns and Trainees.  They will be available to advise Interns, and to provide positive role models for them.

6.  Counselor will be conducting observed UA screenings (UA Tests, collecting samples).  They are required to complete all paperwork and adhere to all procedures and protocols.

7. Other duties as assigned.
